My prices are fixed and calculated according to the word count.
The number of words
(rounded down to the lower decimal) is multiplied by a fixed rate:
Proofreading: 0,04 euros per word.
Translation: 0,07 euros per word.
Proofreading: 0,04 euros per word.
Translation: 0,07 euros per word.
The price remains identical
regardless of the number of corrections or the time the proofreading or translation required. It is the simplest solution to establish a fair quote for both the author and me. I do not add an extra charge for urgent works. When an author accepts the quote, his document is dealt with as soon as possible.
Amphidea is registered but is not subject to VAT (Value Added Tax), no additional cost will be charged on top of the original price
(VAT non applicable, art 293 B of CGI).
Only the correction of bibliographical references leads to an additional cost. The number of sources and the citation style used are indicated by the author. I then verify that all the citations in the text respect the required style, that they are listed in the bibliography, that they are in the established order, and that no mistakes or oversights (DOI numbers for example) are present. The price is 2 € per reference.
In the case of a scientific article, an author can choose to have his manuscript proofread on two occasions: before or after its submission to a journal. An editor will appreciate the quality, precision and readability of a text if it is proofread before submission. Reviewers who evaluate the research will nevertheless address comments and ask for some modifications, which will force the author to modify his document according to their requests. It is of course imperative to check that new mistakes have not crept into the text. If Amphidea has performed the first proofreading before submission and the modifications are minimal, only the changes underlined in color throughout the text will be read and charged (calculated according to word count). If the new version of the document has undergone significant modifications, a new proofreading is required and will be charged in full. However, in both cases, Amphidea offers a 25% discount for the second proofreading of the same article to thank the author for his trust and loyalty.
